Sad Story
Last day was quite horrifying for me like all those people who watched television . In the evening of September the 21st, the life was in full bloom at the beautiful Marriot Hotel Islamabad which had in fact become the cultural place in the city when a powerful explosion rocked the city. The hotel was immediately engulfed in smoke and flames. The mutilated and burnt dead bodies seen scattered. There was hue and cry all around and the people who survived the tragedy were running in fear and despair. The sirens of the ambulances and firefighting vehicles were further making the environment scary and gloomy.I could not read the whole day. It was no more over there where I spent good moments chat with my foreigner and Pakistani friends. The terrorists had taken more than sixty lives , making more than two hundred severely wounded and many more home less, besides damage of property to the tunes of millions of $ US. The International community responded immediately. The White House assured the government of Pakistan its full support and cooperation. The terrorism is global and we all have to rise to the occasion and fight concertedly against hand ful of terrorists. I as a student of Kennedy School deem it obligatory to promote the high values of tolerance, democracy and freedom in a profound and robust way.
