Two Democratic Parties

An opinion poll conducted in Japan said that 58% of Japanese people thought that it may be a good idea to let Democratic Party, which was the biggest opposition party in Japan manage the government, and the percentage exceeds that of people who did not think so. In Japan, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has been a ruling party for a long time. However, because of mismanagement of pension problems and widening disparity between the rich and the poor, many people come to think they need to change the government. Here in the U.S, people cast their ballots in November, and the Democratic candidate may become the president. In Japan too, they have an election this year or at the beginning of the next year, and a Democratic candidate may become the Prime Minister. Thus the situation looks similar. The futures of both countries may depend on Democratic Parties.
